Smile Education is partnering with a forward-thinking Multi Academy Trust to recruit a qualified Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality cover across a Reception class. About the Role
* Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that promote numeracy, language, and social skills based on individual needs and interests.
* Ensure high standards of safety, security, and hygiene are maintained in the classroom at all times. Actively follow safeguarding policies to protect children.
* Act as a key person for a group of children, overseeing their settling-in process, monitoring progress, maintaining learning journals, and setting individual developmental targets.
* Observe children to track development, identify next steps in learning, and report on progress to parents and managers.
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s wellbeing and daily experiences.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating, welcoming, and tidy environment.

We’re Looking For Someone Who
* Holds QTS Teacher qualification
* Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
* Is confident across Reception classes
* Is flexible, proactive, and comfortable with morning bookings at short notice
* Can provide two professional references covering the last two years
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one through Smile Education)
