What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join the Legal Team. Reporting to the Company Solicitor at the Midlands office the position will involve assisting the Plot team.
What you'll do as a Legal Administrator
Dealing with registration of notices of assignment, charge etc.
Dealing with requests for permission to make alterations as required (consents)
Preparing engrossments for affordable housing and investor contracts
Completing forms (land registry, SDLT and alike)
Handling general organisational and administrative tasks for the legal department
Archiving for the plots team, both physical copies and on tikit
Dealing with miscellaneous/historic legal queries such as obtaining a copy of a section agreement or title information
Assisting the plots team with reservations and/or ID checks where required
Ordering office supplies, stationery, furniture etc. if required
Opening, sorting and distributing post
Assisting with general enquiries from regions and former customers
Preparing and coordinating periodic reports as required
Organising travel and accommodation as required
Covering annual leave of other Plot Administrators
Taking minutes at meetings as required
Reception cover as required
What experience do I need?
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including a grade C in English and Maths) or equivalent
Experience and competence in: General administration, to include compliance tasks as required.
Producing documents efficiently and accurately under direction of the team.
Document management, including proficiency in using Word, Power Point and Excel along with typing, formatting and editing PDF documents.
Diary management, ideally including travel and event booking.
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail.
Capability to prioritise and multitask effectively
Good time management and organisational skills, and escalating when required.
Willing to continually learn and adapt to new procedures.
Ability to be proactive, take initiative and self-motivate.
Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines while remaining calm.
Ability to demonstrate discretion to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times
