Job Title: Finance Manager - HRA Support
Location: Hybrid (up to 3 days per week in-office)
Contract Type: Temporary / 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Rate of Pay: £540+ per day - Negotiable on experience.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide dedicated support to the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) function within a local authority setting.
This role will involve close collaboration with the existing Finance Manager to review, revise, and manage the HRA budget in alignment with current legislation and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on the review, redrafting, and monitoring of the HRA budget.
* Apply in-depth knowledge of Local Government Housing legislation to ensure compliance and financial integrity.
* Work collaboratively with finance colleagues to support accurate forecasting and reporting.
* Provide financial advice and analysis to key stakeholders across housing and finance teams.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, business cases, and returns as required.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience managing HRA finances within a local authority.
* Strong understanding of Local Government Housing legislation.
* Excellent analytical, budgeting, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in close collaboration with others.
