We are looking for a CNC programmer and operator engineer experienced in setting and running manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components and jigs/fixtures/tools. Understanding engineering principles and maintaining/servicing machines is essential. Good communication skills and computer literacy are required.
Machinery
* 4 Axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre.
* Colchester Lathe, Bridgeport Mill, Bandsaw & Surface grinder.
Key Responsibilities
* Create a maintenance log and service schedule for each machine and ensure all schedules are adhered to.
* Maintain close working relationship with supplier of machines.
* Take data from Design Team (using SolidWorks) and import into CAM software (VISI knowledge beneficial) to create and machine parts/assemblies.
* Program, set and operate various manual and CNC machines.
* Select, purchase and maintain tooling; keep stock of replacement/service parts.
* Read and understand engineering drawings.
* Ensure all H&S requirements are met for machines and users.
* Be proactive, self‑determined and show full responsibility.
Daily Tasks
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed.
* Be aware of factory visitors, ensuring all machinery is operating correctly and can be demonstrated if required.
Full training will be given for any machines or software that the candidate is not familiar with. The candidate must use all Rega strategies and procedures that apply to their area of responsibility.
Additional duties may be assigned, and the scope of the job may change as required by business demands.
