Role Style & Setup:
This role sits within a small but highly capable IT department where support staff work closely with infrastructure and systems engineers. Alongside day‑to‑day user support, you’ll have the opportunity to assist with upgrades, rollouts, and improvement projects, giving you exposure to enterprise technologies that you wouldn’t normally see in a standard helpdesk role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to users across desktop, laptop, and mobile devices
* Assist with the setup, rollout, and maintenance of IT equipment
* Support Microsoft‑based systems and cloud services
* Work with senior engineers on infrastructure changes and system upgrades
* Help deliver IT projects including hardware refreshes, deployments, and migrations
* Maintain user accounts, permissions, and device records
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Keep documentation up to date and support good IT processes
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience in an IT support, service desk, or technician role
* Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and general desktop support
* Keen interest in infrastructure, networking, or cloud technologies
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
* Exposure to Intune, endpoint management, or device deployment tools
* Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, switching etc.)
* Experience assisting with IT projects or system upgrades
* Interest in progressing into infrastructure or systems engineering
