Our client operates a well-established, vertically integrated supply chain with a significant production footprint already in place across the Midlands and North. These facilities currently provide the capacity to support one of the largest housing delivery programmes in the UK.
This is a pivotal board-level appointment taking oversight of multiple factories, moving the division from a series of individual assets into a synchronised, high-output operational machine.
Key Deliverables:
* Operational Excellence: Lead a complex multi-site strategy, balancing capacity across different production lines to ensure continuity of supply to regional build teams.
* Commercial Maturity: Shift the internal culture business leadership ensuring cost control, margin retention and forecasting are aligned with the wider group requirements.
* Supply Chain Integration: Bridge the gap between offsite assembly and onsite installation, reducing friction and ensuring ‘Right First Time’ delivery for the internal client.
* Standardisation: Drive consistent methodologies across all sites, implementing Lean principles to optimise throughput and safety standards.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced industrial leader who understands the pressure of high-volume construction logistics.
* Background: proven experience as Director within the Timber Frame, Modular, or Automotive manufacturing sectors.
* Multi-Site: You must demonstrate a history of managing geographically dispersed teams and assets.
* Commercial Acumen: Experience managing a P&L within a corporate structure, with the ability to navigate internal stakeholder politics effectively.
* Technical Authority: credible knowledge of modern timber engineering and automated production environments.
