Join us in providing person-centred support that truly makes a difference! You're a Support Worker in Caerphilly Borough, helping people with physical and mental health needs in their homes and communities. You support their daily routines, from meal preparation and medication to household tasks and activities. We help them stay independent, build friendships, and explore volunteer opportunities and new experiences, like choir, arts & crafts or pedal-powered adventures.
Responsibilities
* Providing personalised support tailored to individual needs.
* Offering emotional support and positive encouragement.
* Completing light household tasks and basic administrative duties.
* Bringing fresh ideas and helping to improve ways of working.
* Checking and digitally recording medication stocks and personal finances in line with policy.
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We’re looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our vibrant supported living services across Caerphilly Borough, including Blackwood, Ystrad Mynach, and Fleur De Llys. These are 24/7 services, so flexibility and reliability are key. You'll be part of a rotating schedule that includes day shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and sleep-in or waking night shifts.
Qualifications
* Experience working with people or customers.
* Experience working as part of a team.
* Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
* Flexibility – our services run 24/7 and shift patterns vary.
* A full UK manual driving licence to be able to drive the Motability cars.
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those with mental health needs or learning disabilities, is desirable but not essential.
We provide full training and ongoing development to support your success in the role.
What We Offer
* Competitive hourly rate of £12.75 – equivalent to £24,531 annually (FTE).
* Day shifts: 7:30am‑3:00pm, 3:00pm‑9:30pm, 10:30am‑10:00pm, 11:00am‑7:00pm.
* Sleep‑in shifts + £62.64 per shift.
* Waking night shifts 10pm‑7am + £12.15 + 20% per hour.
