* Prepare and analyse stock reports to identify variances and trends.
* Monitor stock levels and provide accurate valuations for financial reporting.
* Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to streamline stock management processes.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in stock management.
* Provide support during audits and ensure accurate documentation of stock data.
* Deliver regular updates and insights to senior management on stock performance.
* Be responsible for the day to day management of an Assistant Management Accountant.
* Support a culture of continuous improvement working closely with a Finance Director to improve efficiencies within the wider business.
Profile
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
* Ideally experience in stock accounting.
* Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
