An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Fife Wide Hospital at Home (H@H) Service.
The H@H Service provides a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to provide direct clinical care for patients with a variety of acute illnesses as part of a multi disciplinary healthcare team. The H@H ANP team work closely and in collaboration with the Medicine of the Elderly Consultants and have a strategic role in delivering improved outcomes for acutely unwell patients within a community setting.
Over the last few years, the complement of ANP staff within the teams has increased and we are seeking a Lead ANP to support developments within the service to deliver high quality, safe and effective person centred care, and to play an integral and expert role in clinical management and delivery of care.
As well as clinically leading the ANP staff group across the 2 H@H teams, the Lead ANP will be responsible for the clinical training and development of this staff group, providing robust leadership and supporting the managerial responsibilities for advanced practice alongside the Lead Nurse. They will work in conjunction with the Clinical Services Manager and Lead Nurse on quality improvement initiatives and clinical pathway developments to support effective service provision Fife Wide.
You should fulfil the following essential criteria:
Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Qualified ANP that has consolidated their knowledge and supplemented their experience and competencies across a variety of settings/contexts of care such that they now have demonstrated competency in provision of both breadth and depth of diagnosis and treatment across the life span, encompassing all common presentations of ill health.
Hold an appropriate Masters level 11 qualification in Advanced Practice which has enabled competence in the following -
o Clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, judgement and diagnostic decision making
o Anatomy and pathophysiology
o Non medical prescribing V300
o Leading, delivering and evaluating care
o Transferable work based learning
Significant comprehensive post registration experience within a healthcare setting some of which must be at a senior practitioner level.
A commitment to lifelong learning and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development in clinical practice and leadership.
Can demonstrate experience in managing staff, leading a team, providing education and training and establishing a supportive, learning environment.
Successful track record in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting and promoting collaborative approaches to delivering excellent patient care.
An ability to travel across Fife is essential.
