The Role: KS1 SEND Teacher
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Contract: Flexible working days
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEND needs
Provide a nurturing, structured environment to support emotional and academic development
Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and families to implement EHCPs and learning plans
Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour and support social communication
Maintain clear records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings
Promote inclusion and equality across the curriculumRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly in KS1
Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies
Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills
