Purpose of role :
To accurately prepare and support the financial accounting and local compliance including statutory accounting, audit and group submission of the actuals, budget and forecast for the entities responsible for. Provide strong support to the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc projects.
Main accountabilities:
1. The production of monthly management accounts, financial reports and other required reports within Company guidelines
2. Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
3. Balance Sheet reconciliations to be prepared and submitted timely into Blackline ensuring the balance sheet is clean and no aged / unresolved items are outstanding
4. Intercompany accounts fully reconciled with no aged balances and with any differences (if any) fully investigated
5. Support the preparation of the statutory accounts for the legal entities in charge if these are required
6. Asset accounting including depreciation run, capitalisation of assets in construction and open/close projects done on time
7. Assist the VAT manager and Tax Manager /Consultants to ensure full tax compliance
8. Support the external auditors during interim and year end audit, ensuring information is provided timely
9. Work with the internal audit department to ensure that any issue raised by them is actioned and resolved by due date
10. Managing the GRIR account and ensuring no aged balance is left unresolved
11. Responsible for preparation/review and timely submission of weekly cashflow forecast
12. Support the preparation and submission of the annual BS budget
13. Liaise with HR and Payroll provider to ensure that local payroll is processed timely and accurately
14. Manging stakeholder expectations
15. Assist the Finance Manager with finance projects and ad-hoc requests
Skills and Knowledge:
16. We are looking for someone fully or part ACCA/CIMA qualified
17. Ability to work in dynamic and busy environments
18. Ability to work well independently and in a team
19. Good analytical skills
20. Excellent Excel skills
Location and Travel requirements :
This role is part of the European Shared Service Centre team in Harlow (UK), as part of our hybrid working there is a minimum requirement of 3 days per week in the Essex office.
