Salary Point 16, £25,407 per annum + £2000 MRA

Hours 37 hours per week, all year round

Contract Permanent

Location Stamford College

About the role

As a Technician Trainer, you will support the delivery of practical training across plumbing programmes, working closely with lecturing staff to guide learners through hands‑on activities. You will help students build confidence, develop their skills, and succeed in a safe, well‑organised workshop environment.

You’ll also assess progress, support practical sessions, maintain equipment and workshop spaces, and ensure high standards of health and safety. Full training and development, including teaching and health and safety qualifications, will be provided if needed.


What you'll be doing

You will deliver practical training and coaching, supporting learners to develop their plumbing skills and knowledge. You will monitor progress, provide feedback, and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment, while ensuring the workshop remains safe, organised, and fully equipped.


What we are looking for

* Level 2 qualification in a relevant plumbing discipline
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with learners
* Good organisation and problem‑solving skills
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive learning
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good IT skills

If you don’t yet hold teaching, First Aid or Health and Safety qualifications, we will support you to achieve these.
