Project Accountant
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Project Accountant to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow. This role involves supporting the submarines programme, offering a dynamic work environment in a critical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing financial support to contract base, including invoicing customers and managing debts
* Answering customer cost queries and internal financial questions
* Supporting the contract team and collaborating with project management, engineering, and contracts teams
* Delivering cost and financial reports
* Using SAP and Microsoft Teams for financial tracking and communication
* Managing customer contracts across three main work streams
Job Requirements:
* Experience in finance, ideally within the defence or engineering industries
* Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Teams
* Part ACMA qualified, or holding equivalent qualifications such as CIMA or AAT
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Availability to work on-site in Barrow for three days a week, typically from Monday to Wednesday
