You’ll be paid a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Deliver 3–4 medium-scale CI projects per year (£10k–£15k savings)
* Support operations and support functions with their own improvement projects
* Lead and take accountability for the Tactical Idea Generation Programme
* Hold CI forums to promote understanding and engagement with continuous improvement
* Work with finance to track assumptions, trial results and actual savings for gainshare reporting
* Develop and maintain process maps and implement visual workplace standards including 5S
* Mentor CI trainees and support hands-on project delivery
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Proven experience in a continuous improvement or operational excellence role, at a management level within logistics, distribution or supply chain
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies (Yellow Belt or higher)
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Understanding of P&L and how KPIs impact profitability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and WMS systems
