What you will do:
* Lead and manage a team of dedicated social work professionals, ensuring quality standards and targets are met.
* Implement and oversee HR policies, including performance management and health and safety procedures.
* Develop strategies to secure appropriate placements and negotiate contracts with independent providers.
* Foster strong relationships with colleagues across the Council and partner agencies to elevate the fostering service profile.
* Coordinate resources efficiently to ensure value for money through careful budget management.
* Collaborate on multi-agency fostering services for children, young people, and their families.
* Monitor performance indicators and create improvement plans to enhance service quality.
* Contribute to the oversight of children’s progress within the Looked After system.
* Craft bespoke care packages and ensure effective teamwork for children’s placement management.
* Maintain your Social Work England registration throughout employment.
