Job Description:
We are seeking a Lifecycle Engineer (Maintenance and Reliability) for submarines to join our Joint Platform Engineering Team (JPET) in Bristol. JPET is a collaborative team from the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), Babcock, and Rolls-Royce, focused on optimizing maintenance requirements to reduce maintenance volume and enhance platform availability.
The successful candidate will conduct investigations into maintenance requirements, identify opportunities for optimization, and validate current maintenance practices. The role involves data gathering, analysis, and collaboration with Design Authorities within SDA, utilizing Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps for project management.
Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple maintenance requirement investigations concurrently.
* Gather and analyze data from team members and Design Authorities.
* Drive maintenance optimization projects to successful completion.
* Participate as a Scrum team member, using Azure DevOps for planning and tracking.
Qualifications:
* Experience within the UK Submarines Enterprise (e.g., Navy, MOD, Prime Industry Partners).
* Proven ability to develop and challenge maintenance requirements.
* Safety Case experience.
* Investigative and questioning mindset.
* Experience with Azure DevOps and report writing.
