Airedale Academy is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive with 1, pupils on roll. The academy is, situated in Airedale, Castleford and recently joined Castleford Trust. Since joining the Trust in February, the school has seen rapid improvements in pupil behaviour and curriculum planning.
Castleford Trust is a dynamic and inclusive Multi Academy Trust, consisting of nine schools across all phases: three secondary academies, two primary academies, two junior academies and two infant academies. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated, and able Resource Manager to lead our successful resource provision. Step-up is a base within the academy that supports pupils with a variety of needs. These can include safeguarding, pastoral, mental health or SEND need. The base provides a number of interventions from 1-1 mentoring support, support with uniform, individual and small group interventions in order to enhance pupil progress and the development of their learning and social/emotional skills
The successful applicant will have:
1. The ability to relate well to and mentor children with special educational, safeguarding, emotional and behavioural needs.
2. The ability to manage a school based inclusion resource which provides support and intervention for children within Airedale Academy for a variety of needs.
3. Knowledge of SEN in line with Codes of Practice
