The Role:
We are looking for a caring, dedicated, and a patient Support Worker to provide maternity leave cover within our team with the potential to become permanent. In this role, you will support individuals with learning disabilities to achieve their personal goals, develop life skills, and participate in their community. You’ll play a key part in encouraging independence and ensuring the people we support live happy, healthy lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
* Assist with daily living activities, including basic personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Support individuals in accessing community activities and building social networks.
* Encourage and assist with the development of life skills, independence, and confidence.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals to create tailored support plans.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
About You:
* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is preferred but not essential.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude.
* Commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and inclusion.
* Full/clean drivers licence is essential and access to own vechicle.
