About Runnymede Borough Council
Runnymede Borough Council is an ambitious authority where people are at the heart of everything we do. We are a great place to work, visit, study or call home. Through our Corporate Business Plan, we prioritise the things that matter to us:
* Tackling the climate emergency and enhancing nature
* Improving health and wellbeing for all
* Supporting our communities through change
* Growing a fair and sustainable economy.
We want to create an environment where continuous improvement and making things better every day is a trait and cultural norm. We also want work to be an environment where we celebrate success, treat everyone with mutual respect and ensure everyone’s voice is heard. Being honest is important to us, so when we were given a non-statutory Best Value Notice in December 2023, we didn’t shy away from it, we acknowledged it for what it is and took it as a positive opportunity to show everyone how strong and resilient our finances are.
