Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for primary-aged students with a variety of special educational needs. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and confident. Work closely with the SENCO to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure continuous development. Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being and achievement. Contribute to the development of the school's SEN provision and culture of inclusion. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in a primary or SEN setting. Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and how to differentiate effectively. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
