The role:
* Lead and manage a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals with learning disabilities.
* Develop and implement person-centred care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
* Conduct regular team meetings and supervisions to promote team cohesion and professional development.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services, making adjustments as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Act as a point of contact for clients, families, and external stakeholders, addressing any concerns or queries.
* Support the recruitment, training, and induction of new staff members.
* Promote a positive and inclusive culture within the team and the wider organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in leadership roles within adult services, particularly in care management and team leading.
* Strong understanding of learning disabilities and the associated support needs.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above).
* Proficient in personal care and support work for adults.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build positive relationships.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
