Nightshift Hygiene Operative
Graham's The Family Dairy are seeking to appoint a permanent Nightshift Hygiene Operative.
Job Overview
Working within a food manufacturing environment you will be responsible for ensuring all production areas, machinery and equipment are cleaned to the highest order at all times. Working 5 day over 7, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine cleaning (daily, weekly, monthly) and deep cleaning (internal and external) of Production areas, equipment and environments (walls, ceilings, doors, changing areas, floors and drains) with accordance of cleaning schedule, shift planner and other department demands
* Performing Clean-in-place (CIP) cleaning across the site.
* Ensure all cleaning is completed to standards, procedures (SOP's), Hygiene work instructions and chemical safety protocols
* Dismantle and reassemble machinery safety for effective cleaning and sanitation.
* Completing hygiene records, cleaning checklists and sign off sheets, site and department briefs and trainings
* Use and handle cleaning chemicals correctly and safely following COSHH instructions and regulations
* Support production and technical team in hygiene-related tasks and during audits/visits both internal and external
* Take responsibility for personal hygiene and wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE) all the time
* Ensure that housekeeping standards are always on the highest level
Assist Hygiene Shift Leader/Shift Manager with additional required tasks and reasonable duties
Qualifications
· Previous experience in hygiene in withing food manufacturing/producing – desirable
· Understanding of cleaning and disinfection process as well as personal hygiene
· Ability to follow procedures, work as part of team with minimal supervision
· Physically fit – able to work in wet environment and handle manual tasks
Experience with Clean-in-place (CIP) system and dairy processing equipment, COSHH and Food Safety level 2 Certificate – desirable but training will be provided

Pay: £12.39 per hour
