Overview
We are seeking a full-time support worker to assist Clair, who loves animals (especially dogs), enjoys beach and countryside walks, and has an interest in 80s music. The role includes helping Clair increase her independence at home and supporting her emotional wellbeing, with opportunities to participate in dog-related activities.

Contract Hours: 30h per week (part-time option may also be considered)

Responsibilities
* Provide supportive, compassionate, and empathetic assistance to Clair to help her increase independence and confidence in daily living.
* Offer emotional reassurance and help Clair understand and manage her emotions, with a respectful and non-judgmental approach.
* Support Clair to engage in activities she enjoys, including outings and dog-walking opportunities when appropriate.
* Collaborate with Clair’s existing team to ensure a cohesive, person-centered approach and share updates on progress.
* Demonstrate maturity, emotional intelligence, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude while working with Clair.
Qualifications
* Demonstrate a mature outlook with good emotional intelligence and resilience;
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team;
* Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a difference in Clair's life;
* Kindness, patience, and a commitment to the values of inclusion;
* Experience or understanding of autism and the ability to support Clair through confusing or frustrating moments;
* Willingness to participate in safeguarding procedures and background checks as part of the recruitment process.
