Labcorp is seeking an Animal Operations Supervisor to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4pm, Friday 7.45am – 3.30pm. Weekends on rota.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Direct line management to include coaching, performance management, recruitment and other management duties.
2. Scheduling and coordinating proactively and in conjunction with other groups or departments the daily activities of the group and liaising with other groups, sections and departments. Organising necessary resources for conducting all relevant study or non-study related tasks and participating in the study performance.
3. Assuring appropriate communication within the group, particularly for dissemination of information (i.e. Study progress, Facility procedures, Quality, Health and Safety, Business Updates and any other departmental or company communications)
4. Understanding and interpreting study plans and identifying problems resulting from the study plan or during study conduct and taking appropriate action.
5. Reporting all animal welfare concerns and becoming involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary.
6. Participation in meetings, inspections or client visits.
Minimum Qualifications:
7. Home Office Personal Licence Holder
Preferred Qualifications:
8. IAT level 3
Additional Job Standards:
9. Previous experience of working within a Laboratory Animal Facility
10. Previous leadership experience, ideally in a similar industry
11. Experience working with large animals is preferred.
