Role Summary:
We are in search of a Senior Art Director who will play a key leadership role within our design team and the agency. Primary responsibilities include line management, developing long-lasting client relationships, leading design direction of brands and projects and delivering high quality work. You will need to be able to inspire and help direct the design team in their development to enable them to reach their full potential. This position also requires strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to translate strategic ideas into polished deliverables and then present to key stakeholders internally and externally.

This position will be hybrid, but we have offices in Manchester and central London and team members are encouraged to come in for team meetings and office events.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Manage and lead project execution
* Ideate and design original pieces – digital and print
* Ability to rationalise strengths of existing concepts while remaining open to feedback and further explorations
* Assess client needs, propose, and develop innovative creative solutions
* Review and provide feedback on briefs
* Help provide level of effort and hour allocations for design projects
* Be a brand champion on dedicated client accounts
* Support with resource management on an ad-hoc basis
Leadership
* Line manage 2+ designers
* Become a key team member
* Help host internal team meetings
* Inspire and help lead the team daily
* Oversee and provide feedback directly to designers and provide support and design direction
* Conduct internal design reviews and makes sure the work aligns with strategy and brand guidelines
* Review all materials for consistency in layout guidelines and all branding elements
* Able to meet client objectives and deadlines
* Possess advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (experience with Midjourney and Firefly preferred) and PowerPoint
* Interest in healthcare and innovative science
Experience:
* Managing designers
* Working in a design or creative studio
* Feel confident in presentations and be comfortable dealing with senior clients and internal teams
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
* Passionate about great design and have a keen eye for detail
Minimum and preferred qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in arts, graphic arts, related field, but will consider relevant work experience
* 6+ years of experience
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
* Proficiency in PowerPoint preferred
* Clear and concise communication style
* Line management experience
* Strong portfolio
* Demonstrable passion for design
* High focus on accuracy, and attention to detail
