Job Title: Support Workers
Full time: 37.21 p/h unqualified - £13.Kisharon Langdon has an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join their growing team in the Prestwich, Manchester area.
This role supports our members from the Jewish community and an understanding and experience of adhering to shabbat, awareness of other Jewish religious traditions and ability to proactively support our members in these would be desirable but isn't essential.

As a Support Worker you will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable our members to live as independently as possible. You will be responsible for working with our employment team to facilitate employment opportunities and assisting and supporting our members to enjoy an active social life.
This role supports service members from the Jewish community and experience of understanding and being sympathetic towards the needs of this community including adhering to shabbat and awareness of other religious traditions would be welcome
You will be required to provide personal care, work flexible hours which will involve working early and late shifts, (typically between 0700 & 2200), every other weekend and bank holidays in accordance with member need, and you will.
Support our members to closely observe Jewish culture on a daily basis,
Assist and support in the provision of social, health and personal care
Support in assisting moving, use of wheelchair and hoist as required
Support and enable our members to live as independently as possible and develop new and existing skills
Support individuals to achieve goals that link to the Kisharon Langdon mission
Assist in supporting our members in designing and developing their support/care plans,
Enable our members to form relationships and wider social networks,
Promote and adhere to the workplace values (Respect, Integrity, Community, and Excellence).
If you have a good understanding of Jewish culture and are already working in the care sector or looking for a career change and enjoy engaging with people and have a real desire to make a difference to someone's life, then we want to hear from you.
Confident with dealing with challenging behaviours and provide personal care,
Experienced in providing care to people living within the Jewish community
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you must have a good standard of written English,
Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicant,
Ideally you will hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use, but this is desirable and not essential.
