Purpose of the Role
Join our Financial Reporting Team in a key leadership role supporting the Senior Finance Manager. You’ll lead a team of Management Accountants and take ownership of delivering accurate monthly management accounts, statutory reporting support, and forecasting—ensuring high-quality financial insight across the Group.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead and develop a team of Management Accountants.
* Oversee monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and commentary.
* Review monthly KPIs and ensure they align with financial performance.
* Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior year, working closely with Finance Business Partners and Directors.
* Ensure accuracy of accounts through collaboration with wider finance teams.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
* Approve journals and maintain strong financial controls.
* Support year‑end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
* Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
* Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
* Ensure compliance with FCA client and insurer money rules.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who has/is:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
* Proven leadership or team management experience.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, CASS and UK GAAP.
* Advanced Excel and confident data analysis skills.
* Experience delivering accurate results to tight deadlines.
