A brilliant opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Leadership team at St Joseph's as we continue our exciting journey of growth and development. We are looking to appoint a motivated, dynamic and passionate SENCo to support and contribute further to the success of our school.
Our community is excited to work with a SENCo who is caring, knowledgeable, whilst bringing an innovative and creative approach to supporting and enhancing SEN provision and effectively leading the progress and achievement of our SEND pupils. At the heart of our vision is that "everybody thrives" and we wish others with the same mindset to join us.
We are seeking a candidate who will:
* be passionate about inclusion and special educational needs
* be an exemplary primary school teacher
* be an excellent communicator with children, colleagues, governors, external agencies, professionals and parents
* have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice
* have knowledge of effective teaching and learning styles and how they can be used effectively for individual children
* able to lead colleagues to further develop provision for SEND pupils
* have the skills to support and train staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH as well as other needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD)
* have excellent planning and organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
* have resilience and the ability to work under pressure
* Either have the SEND qualification or be committed to achieving this in the next 2–3 years
* Either be Catholic or be willing to actively support the Catholic ethos of the school
