INIS Environmental ltd part of RSK Group have a proven track record in the delivery of high quality Ecology products which is reinforced by the fact that we are commissioned by some of Ireland’s largest energy developers to complete the Ecology remits on their projects.
We are now hiring for an Ecologist/Report Writer to join the team Hybrid from our Ennis office location, full time 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project managing smaller scale reports – AA, NIS, EIA Screening, Preliminary EIA, EcIA, PEA, Biodiversity Management Plans
* Monitoring PM’d report
* Creating and maintaining templates – AA, NIS, EIA Screening, General reports (ecology), Preliminary EIA
* Report writing SOP and checklist
* Reviewing reports – formatting
* Offering report writing guidance
* Monitoring Ecology reports (through report writing planner and Jira) – EcIA, End of Season reports
* Maintaining reporting resources – Statements of Authority; list of methodologies to be created; reference list
* Updating legislation – Quality Assurance, Introduction sections, Methodology
* Reporting training and presentations
* Offering reporting assistance to EIAR team
* Maintaining library (published EIARs/NISs from other authors) and case laws
* Readying reports for issue – formatting and PDFing
* Review planning sites/files for resources (e.g. windfarms in relevant areas)
Person Specification:
* Good team player, with the ability to work independently
* Enthusiasm, energy and drive to develop skills and deliver projects to the highest standard
* Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
* A methodical and organised personality.
* Monitor workloads to meet delivery targets and keep within budgeted timelines
* Happy to work outdoors and travel to survey sites.
* Organise, repair and maintain equipment as required.
* Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and take responsibility for own safe working practices.
* Good understanding of ecology.
* Experience of using GIS mapping tools (such as QGIS or ArcGIS) would be advantageous.
* Full clean EU drivers licence
* Appropriate membership of CIEEM (dependent on grade, or to have eligibility if not currently held).
* A knowledge of the relevant legislation and policies
