This role offers the opportunity to lead large, high-profile schemes typically valued between £90m-£120m, or to take responsibility for a major section of works on flagship projects. The Role Reporting directly to the Project Director / Regional Director, the Senior Project Manager will have full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex projects, aligned with the project execution plan and wider business strategy. You will take ownership of: Delivery, safety, quality, environmental performance, and commercial outcomes Senior-level client and stakeholder relationships Leadership of internal teams, consultants, and the wider supply chain Ensuring projects are delivered in line with company systems, procedures, and safety culture This is a role for a hands-on leader who is comfortable operating at a senior level while remaining closely involved in the detail of delivery. Key Responsibilities Leading programme development, construction methodology, logistics, and prelims Chairing project start-up meetings, internal team meetings, and subcontractor forums Developing procurement strategies alongside commercial teams, including early supply-chain engagement Establishing and managing project risk registers throughout the lifecycle of the project Overseeing site layout, logistics, and implementation in line with best practice Managing consultant and subcontractor design, including BIM delivery Ensuring accurate reporting, contract administration, CVRs, and commercial performance Driving constructability reviews and identifying opportunities for programme or cost advantage Maintaining high standards across health & safety, quality, and environmental performance What They're Looking For Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager with a Tier 1 or strong Tier 2 main contractor Track record delivering large, complex projects (£70m) Experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, or similarly regulated sectors Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability Comfortable managing P&L responsibility and senior client relationships Qualifications & Requirements Construction-related degree or professional qualification (ideally Chartered) SMSTS and strong knowledge of CDM regulations Strong understanding of: Project Execution Plans (PEP) CVRs and commercial reporting Planning, temporary works, and logistics Risk management and contract administration Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams Why This Role Stands Out Work with a financially stable, family-owned Tier 1 contractor Deliver flagship London projects with strong client backing Long-term project pipeline and clear career progression Culture built on trust, quality, and doing things properly — not short-term fixes Opportunity to shape delivery strategy and influence outcomes at a senior level
