Offer description

Looking for a role where you can really make a difference?

We’re working with a specialist SEND setting in South London that’s on the lookout for a confident, grounded Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. The school supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, and they’re after someone who brings both experience and a steady presence to the classroom.

The team especially values staff who are calm under pressure, physically active, and comfortable working with pupils who thrive on structure, consistency, and clear boundaries.

If you’ve got experience in:

Supporting children or young people with autism or behavioural needs

Working in an SEN, PRU, or pastoral setting

Managing challenging behaviour with empathy and authority

...then we’d love to speak with you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing 1:1 and group support to pupils across Key Stages

Supporting emotional regulation and classroom engagement

Promoting positive routines and helping pupils feel safe and seen

Being an active part of the school community – on your feet, in the mix, and making a real impact

What We’re Looking For:

Previous SEN or behaviour support experience (school, youth work, residential, or similar)

Full-time availability (Mon–Fri, term time)

Resilience, empathy, and a great sense of humour

Someone who leads with consistency and connection

Why Join Us?

Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella faff)

FREE access to our CPD Academy – including behaviour and trauma-informed training

Personalised support from a dedicated consultant

Straightforward registration and ongoing roles in your local area

This is a school that values strong role models and people who ‘get it’ when it comes to supporting students with additional needs. If that sounds like you, we should talk.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
