L3 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Quidenham, Norwich, NR16 2NZ

Actual Annual Salary: £24,514 - £25,872 dependant on qualifications and experience

Hourly rate: £13.72 - £14.48 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8.30am - 4.30pm, Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 4pm

Contract: Permanent

Aurora White House School

Aurora White House School, part of the Aurora Group, supports children aged 5–16 with communication, interaction, and learning difficulties including autism, dyslexia, and SEMH needs. We offer small class sizes and a full onsite clinical team.

The Role:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils with learning and care across school settings. You’ll help deliver personalised learning, assist with routines and transitions, and promote positive behaviour. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you’ll ensure every child feels safe, supported, and able to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build warm, supportive relationships to help pupils feel safe and engaged.
2. Promote independence, personal development, and positive behaviour.
3. Support high-quality, differentiated learning across a broad curriculum.
4. Assist the Class Teacher with daily classroom operations.
5. Adapt to changing needs to ensure smooth school functioning.
6. Encourage pupils’ cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
7. Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.

Duties will vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of the school when required. Please see the attached full job description.

Key Requirements

8. Level 3 TA qualification essential
9. GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade 4+) essential
10. Experience with SEN (ASD, SEMH)
11. Understanding of safeguarding

Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are strongly advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
