Location: Taw Vale, Barnstaple EX32 9AE

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Hotel: The Pak Hotel

We are looking for a proactive Events Assistant to join our team at The Park Hotel. This is an administrative and co-ordination focused role, perfect for someone who loves to keep everything on track. The role is offered as Part Time but if the right candidate requires full time hours, this can be discussed with additional responsibilities.


What will I be doing?

As an Events Assistant at The Park Hotel, you will be responsible for planning, organising and executing events. This role would be a perfect opportunity for someone looking to work for an established luxury hotel chain whilst furthering their career in the hospitality industry.

* Coordinating and managing event bookings from initial enquiry through to event day
* Communicating event details between key internal teams, including chefs, front of house and management
* Issuing booking confirmations, contracts and event schedules
* Ensuring deposits and payments are processed accurately and on time
* Maintaining event records, guest lists and key details within our booking system
* Supporting the Events Manager with diary management, admin and client follow-ups
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients via telephone and email
* Liaising with our inhouse marketing team in organising POS for events


What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role as an Events Assistant at The Park Hotel, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Confident using booking systems and Microsoft Office (or similar)
* A calm, professional approach with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
* Previous experience in hospitality, events, or office administration is desirable but not essential, the right attitude counts
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service
