A well-established and respected block and estate management company based in Beckenham is looking for a Service Charge Manager to lead and develop its internal service charge function. The business manages a diverse portfolio of residential developments across London and the South East, with a strong reputation for quality, compliance, and customer service.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Service Charge Manager to take ownership of the service charge and budgeting function. You will play a key role in streamlining processes, mentoring a small team, and improving financial accuracy and client communication across the service charge lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the preparation, review, and issue of annual service charge budgets across a varied residential portfolio
* Oversee the production and reconciliation of year-end accounts in conjunction with external accountants
* Lead, support, and develop a small in-house service charge and accounts team
* Monitor and improve internal processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
* Act as the point of escalation for complex service charge or budget-related queries from clients, leaseholders, or colleagues
* Work closely with Property Managers and Directors to ensure smooth communication of financial matters
* Monitor arrears reporting and support the credit control process
* Ensure compliance with RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code and industry best practice
* Support the onboarding of new developments and mobilisation of financial processes
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a service charge/accounts role within block or estate management
* Strong understanding of service charge budgeting, year-end accounts, and relevant legislation
* Experience leading or mentoring a small finance/accounts team
* Confident using property management software (e.g., Qube, Propman, MRI) and Excel
* Good understanding of leasehold structures, lease interpretation, and client reporting requirements
