Our client is a dynamic and expanding import and distribution business based in Knowsley, serving the UK wholesale market. Operating from a modern facility, they manage the import, packing, and distribution of fresh produce sourced globally. Their customer base includes major supermarkets and wholesale partners across the UK.
Role Overview:Our client is seeking a confident and proactive Sales & Operations Support Executive to join their team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting both sales and operational functions, offering exposure to logistics, planning, IT systems, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the sales team with customer communications, order processing, and account coordination.
* Assist in planning and scheduling incoming shipments and packing operations.
* Liaise with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
* Communicate professionally with suppliers, shippers, and customers via phone and email.
* Use Excel and other IT tools to manage data, generate reports, and support operational planning.
* Collaborate with the pack house team to maintain product quality and packing standards.
Skills & Experience:
* Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone and in team settings.
* Confident, adaptable, and eager to develop a broad skill set.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable with IT systems and interested in programming.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking abilities.
* Qualifications, experience or interest in logistics, transport, or fresh produce is advantageous.
