About the Role:
As an Outreach SEN Youth Mentor, you’ll support primary and secondary students with emotional, social, and educational needs across Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.
This flexible role allows you to build meaningful relationships with young people while helping them overcome barriers to learning, improve confidence, and achieve personal goals.

Responsibilities:
* Provide emotional support around family issues, peer pressure, mental health, and academic challenges
* Help students develop key life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and goal setting
* Build confidence and self-esteem by recognising strengths and achievements
* Act as a positive role model and mentor
* Support reintegration into education by addressing behavioural and emotional needs
* Offer guidance for older students and future pathways, including further education and employment
Who We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
* Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Understanding of mentoring and supporting young people with complex needs
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Has Business Insurance or willing to obtain
