We are working exclusively with a respected housing provider to recruit a Housing Manager on a temporary basis in Edinburgh for an initial duration of 6 months with scope to extend. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to step into a key leadership role and make an immediate impact. You'll be leading and motivating a dedicated Housing Services team, driving service improvements, and ensuring tenants receive the highest standard of support. The role will cover the full range of housing management functions - including allocations, tenancy changes, arrears management, voids, and anti-social behaviour cases. As part of the senior management team, you'll play a vital role in shaping housing services and ensuring compliance with housing law, regulatory requirements, and best practice. You'll also support the delivery of modernised, customer-focused services that strengthen engagement with tenants and communities. Responsibilities: Lead and support Housing Team Leadersand staff. Ensure high standards of housing management across tenancy services. Manage budgets, procurement, and contracts relating to housing services. Drive staff engagement, motivation, and performance. Contribute to organisational strategy, values, and continuous improvement. Represent the organisation externally at relevant forums and networks. Criteria for the role: Significant experience in Housing Management. Strong knowledge of social and affordable housing legislation and regulation in Scotland. Proven leadership and people management skills with experience motivating teams. Solid track record of delivering excellent customer service in housing. Strong project and change management skills. Degree-level qualification in Housing or a related discipline (or equivalent). Professional membership in a relevant body (or willingness to achieve this). Details: Edinburgh Based (3 days office initially and then office based for meetings only is possible) 50-60k Salary 35 hours per week (flexi-time/compressed hours etc possible) Own car not required.
