Are you passionate about shaping the future of our workforce and making a positive impact on the delivery of children’s services? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Workforce Development Officer to join our Academy Team, reporting to the Academy Team Manager.
As part of the Academy Team, you will play a key role in the interface between the Academy and HR, supporting the effective operation of the Academy to deliver the successful orienteering, recruitment and selection. You will work collaboratively with HR and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of workforce development initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Children and Family Services.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Academy Team Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Academy.
* Work collaboratively with HR to ensure effective delivery of workforce solutions.
* Participate in the design and implementation of workforce development initiatives.
* Collect and analyse data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
* Provide advice and guidance to managers on workforce planning and development.
Skills And Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Be a Qualified Social Worker Registered with Social Work England.
* Ideally be a Qualified Practice Educator.
* Good understanding of HR processes and practices.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret information and make informed recommendations.
Please note this role is fixed term until 14/11/27 – Funding limited project
