Key Responsibilities include:
1. Be conversant in packaging production processes and associated quality procedures to support manufacturing and facilitate solutions to quality related issues.
2. Support incident investigations that identify root causes of major non-conformances. Work with Filling, Blowmoulding and Logistics personnel to conduct effective investigations.
3. Generate/collate data and evaluate quality failures in materials or intermediate/finished goods attributes to drive cost reduction, performance improvement and less waste.
4. Audit/contact suppliers as needed, ensuring all processes and procedures meet RMB requirements.
5. Communicate all non-conforming raw material information promptly and ensure suppliers implement preventative actions.
6. Provide support for first production batches to ensure correct setup and acceptable quality with the customer.
7. Attend Departmental Communication Briefs and promote the generation and discussion of new ideas with colleagues.
8. Audit procedures to confirm compliance.
9. Share learnings and resolve issues promptly through communication with other departments.
10. Perform planned inspections, risk assessments, and accident investigations to raise Health & Safety standards.
Key Result Areas:
1. Increase technical understanding of blending, filling, and blow moulding processes.
2. Participate in key site projects planning.
3. Reduce downtime and operating costs through improved quality of goods and materials.
4. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives via process development.
5. Improve processes for new product implementation and existing product modifications.
6. Show improvement in departmental KPIs through monitoring and review.
7. Achieve measurable improvements in cost of goods, supplier conformance, and internal conformance.

12-hour continental shift pattern.

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:
* Knowledge of weights and measures legislation and European Standards.
* Experience in QA/QC/EHS within an FMCG environment.
* Understanding of key packaging materials like blowmoulded bottles, labels, outer cases, and closures.
* Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects.
* Qualified in a technical or quality-related subject, preferably to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
