QUANTITY SURVEYOR SOUTHAMPTON Excellent salary package & flexible hybrid working Overview Great opportunity with one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing multi-disciplined consultancy service providers for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is ready for that next step in their career. Working with our client’s highly experienced commercial team in Southampton you will gain experience of working on high-profile projects across a diverse range of sectors including Sci-Tech, Higher Education, Defence and Commercial. The team will also provide all the support you need for you to successfully complete their APC preparation programme in readiness for attaining Chartered status Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). About the role You will be involved in a diverse portfolio of exciting projects across both private to public sectors. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a thriving team, enhancing your existing skill set and ensuring your role and responsibilities remain diverse. Key responsibilities will typically include: Development of cost plans for projects utilising Cost X estimating software. Preparation of tender and contract documents Preparation of Monthly reporting on cost movement to the Client Engagement in Value Engineering and risk workshops. Fund monitoring and due diligence Advising on and supporting procurement of a contractors Helping to deliver the full range of construction stage cost management services Building relationships with design colleagues, Client stakeholder and the Contractor About you Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate: Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification Working towards full membership of the RICS Pre and post contract cost management experience, including setting budgets, manag- ing change, assessing risk and opportunity and procurement. Experience of working with NEC, JCT and bespoke forms of D&B Contracts.
