Makita, a global leader in power tools and innovative solutions, is seeking a Team Leader in our Milton Keynes warehouse location. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations while leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing Makita stock and driving operational excellence across all warehouse activities.

What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Team Management:
* Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet daily operational demands
* Oversee shift picking and packing staff, ensuring accuracy and company standards
* Provide training and support to team members as required
* Monitor and achieve all departmental KPIs
Operational Excellence:
* Process customer orders through accurate picking, packing, and shipping procedures
* Manage Makita stock inventory with precision and care
* Ensure customer deliveries are completed on time and to specification
* Maintain scanner usage across all warehouse operations for accurate stock management
* Complete stock replenishments to meet customer demand
Quality & Safety:
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
* Ensure all team members follow health and safety procedures
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, procedures, and security
* Support monthly stock take activities
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
* Previous warehouse experience with order picking, packing, and shipping
* Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in order processing
* Team-oriented approach with excellent collaboration skills
* Basic computer literacy and experience with warehouse management systems
* Solid understanding of warehouse health and safety protocols
* Physical capability for warehouse duties (lifting, standing, moving)
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* Commitment to cleanliness and continuous workplace improvement
* Professional attitude and adherence to company standards
* Flexibility to assist other departments as required
Desirable Qualifications:
* Knowledge or experience with Makita products and inventory management
* Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
* Problem-solving skills for operational challenges
