Job Summary:
• This post holder will provide support to the Head of Emergency Planning and Resilience Manager to develop and implement strategies, policies, procedures, and practices that determine emergency planning priorities for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, in accordance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, the Health and Social Care Act 2010 and the NHS Commissioning Board Emergency Preparedness Framework 2013. The post holder will also assist in business continuity and resilience preparedness across the Trust.
Main duties
* Develop and contribute to professional relationships within the organisation, with other commissioners, NHS funded organisations and multi‑agency partners that facilitate the continual development of EPRR arrangements.
* Assist with the development and implementation of EPRR delivery plans.
* Ensure appropriate representation at local health resilience partnerships (LHRPs), local resilience fora (LRFs) and their associated sub‑groups and work streams.
* Support and lead on business continuity plans, cyber and incident response programmes and exercises.
* Coordinate rotas for on‑call Directors/Managers.
* Maintain loggist functionality across the Trust.
* Coordinate emergency preparedness and training exercises for the organisation and with resilience partners.
* Work with communications staff to ensure an appropriate communications and media response by the NHS to significant events and emergencies.
* Maintain internal web pages relating to emergency planning and associated documents.
* Continuously review, develop and implement robust systems and processes to ensure the smooth functioning of an Incident Co‑ordinating Centre in line with the Civil Contingencies Act and Government requirements for a level 4 major incident.
