We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our mixed Reception / Year 1 class. You will: support the delivery of the EYFS and year 1 curriculum within the classroom and outdoor learning spaces assist in planning and preparing engaging learning activities tailored to early years pupils provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore and learn help to assess children’s progress and report back to teachers and parents encourage children’s social and emotional development through play and interaction work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure that the needs of all children are met effectively administer paediatric first aid when necessary (training provided) assist with lunch time supervision either in the hall or on the playground. Ideally you will have: recent, practical, school-based experience within an EYFS and/or Year 1 classroom experience of planning and delivering phonics (we use Little Wandle) high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour a positive attitude to every day a NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants would be desirable (or the equivalent experience).
