Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: London / Essex / East Herts & Home Counties (Site based)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Per Annum (DOE)
Start Date: 05.01.2026
Contract: Permanent
Our client, a leading construction company specialising in industrial projects across London, Essex, East Herts, and the Home Counties, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Senior QS team to manage project costs and contribute to the successful delivery of industrial construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation.

Monitoring project costs and producing regular reports.
*
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
*
Supporting the negotiation and administration of contracts.
*
Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The Candidate:
*
Previous experience in quantity surveying or a related role within construction.
*
Must be degree qualified within a relevant field.
*
Knowledge of industrial or commercial construction projects is advantageous.
*
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
*
Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
*
A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
