Job Title: Maintenance Operative
Location: Melmerby, North Yorkshire, UK
Contract & Hours - Six Month Fixed Term Contract - 45 hours - 7am to 4pm Mon to Fri Day shift only
Package includes Salary £31,448 per year, plus a benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and reward your impact and a matched pension contribution of up to 10%.
Join AB Neo and help us raise the standard of our site environment. We're looking for a motivated, practical Maintenance Operative to support a six-month improvement programme focused on hygiene, safety, and site reliability
Working closely with our Site Improvement Programme, you'll play a key role in keeping the facility clean, efficient, and audit-ready while supporting ongoing upgrades to the plant.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out deep cleaning tasks: vacuuming, washing, scraping, degreasing, and painting
Operating industrial cleaning equipment and sprayers
Following the site hygiene plan and maintaining accurate records
Supporting pest control standards and audit actions
Reporting leaks, defects, and hazards
Handling materials safely (FLT use where applicable)
Improving site appearance and functionality
Reducing waste and supporting plant efficiency
Working with colleagues to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Experience in FMCG, production, engineering, or a similar environment
FLT licence (desirable)
Works well with others and has a positive, practical attitude
A team player with a positive, practical attitude
High attention to detail
Pride in maintaining a clean, safe workplace
