Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home – Hatfield AL10 🌟
💰 £12.50 – £13.00 per hour | ⏰ 40 hours per week
Minerva Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Residential Support Workers to join a warm and supportive children’s home in Hatfield (AL10).
This Ofsted-registered home provides care for children and young people with emotional, social, complex, and behavioural needs. The home’s ethos is built on providing safety, stability, and a nurturing environment during periods of challenge and change.
Key Responsibilities:
Support young people with their daily routines and overall well-being
Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding (when required)
Implement care plans and work alongside key workers to provide consistent, nurturing support
Encourage participation in activities and support development of life skills
Observe, monitor, and report changes in behaviour, health, or emotional state
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
Complete accurate documentation and records
Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, families, and other professionals
Be available to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-insCandidate Requirements:
Experience working in a residential children’s home or similar care setting
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it)
A genuine commitment to supporting young people through emotional and behavioural challenges
Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build trusting, positive relationships with young people and colleagues
