Skills We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Tutors to deliver both accredited and non-accredited courses to adults with SEND needs in Poole and Bournemouth. If you are a good all rounder who can teach a variety of skills on courses which could include: Independent Living Skills Understanding Healthy Lifestyles and Wellbeing Understanding Personal Safety and Boundaries English Maths IT Arts and Crafts Music Singing Drama Gardening Skills and Learning deliver adult SEND courses in our centres in Poole and Bournemouth as well as at partner locations in the BCP area with some travel to work in Dorchester and Weymouth. There are two part time salaried position, hours/days/times/locations are negotiable. Skills & Learning is a top performing Adult Community Education (ACE) provider, previously shortlisted for Provider of the Year in the prestigious Times Education awards and for Large Team of the Year with Local Government Chronicle awards in 2024. Ofsted judge the service as ‘Good’ overall and the quality of Information, Advice and Guidance is independently checked and endorsed by Matrix. You Will Need Essential Requirements: L3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent, or willing to work towards one English and maths qualifications at grade 4/C or above or equivalent Experience working in the Adult SEND sector, within a college or school setting. Desirable L5 Certificate/Diploma in Education and Training/PGCE or equivalent Knowledge in one or more of the advertised subject areas Has a L3 TAQA or the willingness to work towards it. Experience working with accreditation, supporting learners to produce a portfolio suitable for submission to the awarding body. Tutors are expected to adhere to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers developed by the Education and Training Foundation.
