International Nurse Coordinator
Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid following completion of probation)
Hours: Full-Time (shifts between 8am & 8pm Monday – Friday with weekends on a rotation basis)
Salary: £40,500 + enhancements for unsociable hours, weekends and bank holidays.

Main responsibilities of an International Nurse Coordinator position include:
* Global Case Management: Manage patient cases worldwide, liaising directly with overseas treating teams, hospitals, and medical staff to ensure correct and appropriate treatment.
* Critical Decision Making: Assess whether medical treatment is appropriate, overseas facilities are suitable and determine if urgent evacuation is required.
* Repatriation: Organise accepting beds in the UK and other countries and assess when and how patients are fit to return home safely.
* Insurance Medicine: Work alongside non-medical colleagues to provide clinical input on insurance cover decisions, including Consent and Disclaimers/GP checks.
* Reporting & Triage: Respond to calls and consult with clients and colleagues in a timely manner according to triage priorities, completing accurate and focused reviews and reports.
* Patient Care: Provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care while dealing with all calls in confidence and with empathy.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Essential Requirements:
* Clinical Experience: A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
* Broad Knowledge Base: Experience in fields such as ICU, ED, cruise ship medicine, or military medicine is highly valued.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the confidence to challenge treating medical teams when necessary.
* Work Ethic & Empathy: A strong work ethic, high IT competency, and a desire to enhance the patient journey with empathy.
* Eligibility: UK nationality or unrestricted right to work in the UK (specific visa requirements apply—see note below).
