The Role
The Head Coach will lead the establishment and growth of a centre for football excellence at Highgate International School in Pattaya, Thailand, delivered through the Manchester City Football School program. Reporting to the School Principal, the role is responsible for designing, implementing and embedding a high-quality football provision within a brand-new school environment.
You will drive participation and raise standards by delivering and overseeing outstanding coaching across a broad range of ages and abilities, both within and beyond the school day, ensuring the program reflects the philosophy, methodology and values of Manchester City.
Your Impact
1. Lead & Develop the Football Program - Establish and grow a high-quality football program within the school, ensuring it reflects Manchester City’s coaching philosophy, methodology and principles while increasing participation and engagement.
2. Deliver Outstanding Coaching - Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive coaching sessions across a range of ages and abilities, both within and beyond the school day, maintaining the highest standards of delivery and player experience.
3. Player Development & Pathways - Identify and nurture talented players, supporting their progression through structured development pathways aligned with CFG principles and long-term player development models.
4. Team Leadership & Operational Excellence - Manage and mentor the local coaching team, oversee training schedules, fixtures and competitions, and ensure the smooth, professional running of the program and wider campus activities.
5. Culture, Values & Safeguarding - Promote a positive, values-led environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, teamwork and respect, while ensuring full compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement - Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff and CFG representatives, contributing to collaboration, transparency and a culture of high expectations and ongoing development.
What we are looking for
7. Hold a UEFA B coaching license (minimum)
8. Extensive experience in youth football (academy, club or international environments) with strong knowledge of individual and team development, including the ability to identify, develop and support talented players
9. Experience managing and developing coaches and staff, with the ability to lead projects from planning through to delivery while maintaining high performance standards
10. Clear, engaging communicator able to build effective relationships with students, parents, staff and wider stakeholders, and work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
11. Highly motivated with a clear sense of purpose, strong problem-solving skills, commitment to quality standards, continuous professional development, and the flexibility to support international projects
