A vacancy has arisen within the RWG Advanced Remanufacturing Business for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias). The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. While the role requires a broad range of maintenance skills, it is heavily orientated towards electrical work. The primary responsibility will be to investigate and repair a wide range of equipment breakdowns/outages in an energetic workshop environment, and to assist in developing, maintaining, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance schedules for equipment across the business.

An overview of your day
* Electrical and mechanical repair of a wide variety of process plant equipment and machinery, including vacuum and atmosphere heat treatment equipment, thermal spray equipment, paint spray booths, NDT and chemical stripping lines, welding plant, grit blasting machines, and machine tools (vertical/horizontal lathes, milling machines, VMC, creep feed grinders, EDM machines).
* Conduct planned maintenance (PM) activities across the site which includes, visual inspection and testing, replacing filters, belts and other consumables
* Identify faults and improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and enhance reliability.
* Load and operate the Asset Essentials CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
* Carry out physically demanding installation of services such as, electrical containment and compressed air lines, requiring manual handling and working above, around, and beneath plant equipment and machinery.
* Assist with training and mentoring apprentices within the department.
* Support the Maintenance Supervisor with capital equipment and machinery projects.
* Ensure compliance with workshop instructions, company practices, policies, and procedures.
* ssue daily permits to work for subcontractors.
What we need from you
* Time-served with an SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* National Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification, hands-on workshop experience.
* Strong electrical background with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical literature.
* Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
* Sound knowledge of HS&E procedures, Risk Assessments, and COSHH regulations.
* Willingness to respond to out-of-hours outages and emergencies as required.
* MEWP licence advantageous (training provided if necessary).
* Driving licence preferred.
